Sheridan Maine are partnering with a leading international organization, to recruit a Senior Accounting role initially on a 12 month contract basis to perform a wide range of duties across finance. The company is seeking someone who is available immediately or on a very short notice period!
Reporting to the Head of Finance you will support the team during a new systems implementation. This will include providing cover for business as usual duties as staff are seconded onto the implementation project, although there is likely to also be some involvement with "change" activities. This will include covering reporting duties across financial and management accounting as well as analytical and budgeting/forecasting activities. Longer term it is likely that the role will become more focused on Financial Reporting activities so strong financial accounting skills would be advantageous.
This is an immediate opportunity with a high potential of becoming a permanent appointment at the end of the initial contract period!

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) ideally with a broad suite of accounting experience encompassing financial and management reporting allied to a strong business/process improvement ethic to ensure the integrity post implementation. Strong IT skills in systems such as Excel, Sage 1000, SAP, Business Objects or Oracle would all be beneficial. The ability to communicate at all levels and to deliver results under pressure is essential for success in this role.
