Job Description

• Undertaking in-house testing and validation of products and materials
• Assist with material development as required and conduct routine testing of material properties on new materials. 
• Ensure that all equipment is kept in good order and suitably calibrated/serviced. 
• Keep the laboratory and associated test facilities in a clean, tidy and fully functional condition. 
• Assist with preparation of samples and prototype mouldings. 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• The ideal candidate with have previous laboratory technician experience • NVQ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification • Or be a chemistry graduate with extensive laboratory experience • Can assess risks and work with Health and Safety at the forefront of their mind • Experience with use of manufacturing and processing equipment
