Job Description
Our client have been established for over 50 years and boast a network of partners/distribution channels throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas. The company have grown organically throughout that time and are now at a point where they require additional support in growing their B2B client base. Our client's Head Office is based in Worcestershire and, whilst the role will involve travel to meet/pitch to prospective new clients, it is expected that the successful candidate lives within a commutable distance to the Head Office on order to attend meetings/strategy catch-ups, etc, In a nutshell, your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and closing new business opportunities within clearly defined marketplaces
- Generating own leads through networking, direct mail, email, LinkedIn or any other avenues
- Meeting with clients over video and, when safe to do so, in person
- Acting as the first point of contact for existing clients (managing existing relationships)
- Understanding the needs of target customers in order to plan how to meet requirements effectively
- Working alongside the Marketing Manager to develop sales + marketing strategy
- Maintaining an accurate and effective sales pipeline
- Negotiating pricing with customers
- Attending seminars, conferences, trade shows and networking events (when safe to do so)
In order to be considered for this position, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following:
- Experience of selling into the Marine, Height Safety, or Winching/Lifting markets
- Tangible experience of working to strict sales targets
- Ability to analyse sales figures and write reports
- Immaculate business presentation/communication skills (written/verbal)
- Strong IT skills (MS Office/CRM systems)
- Full UK driving licence
