My client is a well-established accountancy practice. With a push towards growth over the next 2-5 years they now have a unique and exciting opportunity to lead their well-regarded, friendly, and ambitious firm of Chartered Accountants.

This new role of Practice Director will be instrumental in driving the firm forwards both with internal development initiatives and growth through acquisition.

This role will suit a qualified Chartered Accountant focused on client delivery and with an entrepreneurial spirit. It will be down to you to proactively progress the business, own the P&L but also have an Owner who will mentor and support you.

Working from their offices (which offer free parking) my client can offer a high degree of flexibility if the job gets done – this can include full or part time and term time only working as well as some remote working

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

This role will suit someone who is ACA qualified or equivalent and has ambition. There is a great opportunity here to help modernize and digitize the practice. In time another accountancy practice may be acquired which the successful candidate would oversee, so there is huge scope for development and growth. The successful candidate will: Be ACA qualified. Boast public practice experience, ideally small or medium sized firm, minimum of 5 years. Be confident in getting to know their mix of clients ranging from sole traders through to larger Limited companies. Have a modern outlook to business. Be proactive with an entrepreneurial and ambitious mindset. Want to own the strategy and development of the company and develop it for the future. Proven experience of motivating and managing a loyal team. Professionalism and gravitas, being the leading face of the firm. Committed and accountable. Embrace change and continuous improvement. Be an excellent and confident communicator. Motivated and a self-starter, looking to challenge themselves in a senior leadership role as principal of a firm.
