FairHeat is a fast-growing consultancy on a mission to radically reduce carbon emissions through decarbonising heat by designing and promoting effective heat systems.

We provide expert support to organisations implementing heat networks to ensure that the systems they commission are the most efficient and decarbonised solutions they can be. Right now, we need you on our team!

The Opportunity:

Working part-time; ideally 20 hours per week, 10-2 Mon – Fri; your time will be split between working remotely and attending the office.

You will be at the heart of our business, taking responsibility for the smooth running of our day to day activities and ensuring our Engineers have what they need to fulfil their roles.

The Role:

The role will be varied, maintaining our core admin systems alongside more general facilities upkeep and remote worker support. This will include:

  • Handling in-bound enquiries.
  • Maintaining HR processes / records.
  • Administering our quality standards – ISO 9001 and 14001.
  • Arranging travel / accommodation.
  • Ensuring remote staff have phones / laptops etc.
  • Organising team and corporate events.

Communication is the key here, both in your interpersonal skills dealing with consultants, clients and third parties, as well as your verbal and written skills to maintain our policies and procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant practical experience within an Engineering or Consultancy practice or similar.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS software i.e. MS Office, Word, Excel, Teams.
  • Previous experience administering HR systems and records.
  • An understanding of quality standards and achieving audit success.

Desired Skills

  • Highly organised with a strong attention to detail and adherence to process and procedure attitude.
  • A positive personality able to communicate with a wide range of people.
  • Strongly identify with energy efficiency and wider green issues.
  • A high degree of common sense.
