Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to play a key role as Finance/Admin Officer who will join the team and could make a real impact in the school office. You will need to be able to communicate effectively in a warm and professional manner at all times. We are looking for someone with a 'team spirited' attitude to their work, whilst being confident, flexible and having a highly organized approach to dealing with a wide range of tasks. Management experience and knowledge of financial control and reporting is essential.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Prepare, manage and monitor the school budget together with income and expenditure
  • Effectively manage and maintain day to day financial systems in school
  • Audit and report school accounts, reconciliation and budget forecast regularly to senior leadership team and governors
  • Attending meetings of the governing body (max 2 per term)
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Support the admin team in the smooth running of the school office processes and procedures

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Friendly and welcoming. Calm under pressure, with the ability to priorities workloads and balance resources. Able to deal with constant interruptions with a smile on your face. Organized and efficient. Excellent at communicating. Self-motivated. Dog friendly, our school dog is a lovely black Labrador called Luna Looking to work as part of a team. It literate, particularly with financial tools for which training will be available. Be able to use your initiative and be resourceful. Have a good understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures. Knowledge of arbor/cpoms and gsuite would be desirable but not essential as training will be available. Qualified in math and English at GCSE grade c or above. First aid qualified or prepared to become first aid trained.
