Job Description

Our Transport Planning team are looking for a Transport Planning Administrator who will help to organize customer deliveries across all sectors of the GDHV business for home deliveries via parcel carrier to full load depot deliveries to leading Retail and Trade customers.
Accountabilities

  • Contact customers by phone, email or online portal to book and confirm deliveries and ensure compliance with their orders.
  • Adhere to each customer’s unique booking procedures and complete correct booking forms when required to ensure first time delivery success
  • Accurately record route schedules and booking references using SAP S4 HANA and confirm customer’s specific delivery restrictions or requirements where necessary to ensure first time delivery success.
  • Work with GDHV data management team to ensure that customer special requirements such as open/close times and vehicle restrictions are accurately recorded in SAP S4 HANA against their accounts to ensure first time delivery success
  • Respond to enquiry phone / Teams calls and emails from customers or GDHV colleagues regarding all aspects of deliveries e.g. scheduled dispatch/delivery dates, delivery times to ensure first time delivery success
  • Create Loads/Freight Orders in SAP S4 HANA to ensure these are then picked and packed by the warehouse team for onward transportation.
  • Ensure our haulage partners are fully appraised of all scheduled loads and deliveries to ensure first time delivery success.
  • Liaise with our National Distribution Centre, by phone / Teams and email, regarding all aspects of order picking, processing and dispatching to ensure dispatch details are received in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that any outbound haulage related issues affecting customer deliveries are reported to the Supervisor immediately for immediate resolution.
  • Carry out any other reasonable function necessary as requested by the line manager or their superiors and provide reasonable administration cover for others within the team.
