Job Description

Management Role:

  • You will be responsible for assisting in the development of the sales administration department and ensuring processes are being followed and continuously reviewed and developed.
  • You will be required to monitor stock levels and stock values in line with the Financial Director’s recommendation.
  • You will be responsible for monitoring profitability against budget.
  • You will be required to motivate, mentor and manage a team of 4 staff including personal development and training plans.
  • You will be responsible for the onboarding process of new employees in the department.
  • You will be responsible for monitoring staff attendance and managing absences.

Other responsibilities:

  • To ensure that all vehicle orders are fulfilled correctly, that they are monitored until they are sold and that they are correctly taxed for handover on receipt of payment.
  • To invoice new and used vehicles as required.
  • To arrange vehicle taxation both via AFRL and manually.
  • To keep records of sales and orders taken.
  • To carry out filing and general upkeep of vehicle files to audit standard.
  • To arrange PDI of vehicles and liaise with workshops.
  • To produce warranty documentation.
  • To arrange and assist with vehicle deliveries i.e. pick up / drop off, as necessary.
  • To make damage claims for transit damage.
  • To administer purchase invoices i.e verifying and passing invoices.
  • To carry out any other sales support tasks to progress vehicles as required.
  • To send specs of new vehicles to MB together with any changes.
  • To arrange vehicle ordering both on computer and manually.
  • To arrange stock transfers /swaps as required.
  • To liaise with sales team for workshop and outworks on sold vehicles.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• You will be a highly motivated and target driven individual with a solid background in sales administration. • Experience in the motor trade is essential and experience using Kerridge would be advantageous. • Strong organisational skills are essential. • You must be a team player.
