Job Description

The Team is responsible for a wide range of commissioned services including Domiciliary Care, Residential and Nursing care, Extra Care, Day Care, Social Inclusion and Support Services. Over the last year the impact of COVID-19 on the sector and the work of the Team has been significant and we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and excellent communicator to join the Team to help in COVID Response and Recovery.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to play a key role in working in an area of national as well as local importance in order to support the County Council’s response to and recovery from the pandemic.
As part of the business support function within the Commissioning Team you will monitor the performance of the provider market, identify emerging issues, respond directly to queries and also support the formulation of responses to provider queries and communications to, and engagement with, the market.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will also establish effective monitoring processes, produce reports and engage with internal and external stakeholders on market performance. Although not essential it is desirable you have a broad understanding of the social care market. As well as management experience, good time management skills and the ability to work under pressure, you will need an understanding of data management, collection and analysis, have good IT skills and be able to communicate your findings verbally, in writing and through a range of media to a variety of audiences.
