Job Description
  • To further develop our compliance work practices to ensure maximum product safety and compliance documentation across a broad range of products such as bathroom cabinetry, taps and basins.
  • To implement a due diligence system to ensure all products are legally and sustainably sourced.
  • To be responsible for various health and safety duties.
  • To reduce waste packaging and maximise recycling to meet environmental and sustainability goals.
  • Ensure compliance with UK Packaging Regulations.
  • To ensure conformity of Woodstock’s products with health, safety and environmental protection standards.
  • To drive environmental improvements across the company.
  • Ensure all traded goods are UK/CE marked and work with others on purchasing governance.
  • Ensuring all processes comply with the UK Timber Regulation (UKTR), European Union Timber Regulation (EUTR), Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Modern Slavery Act; maintaining a robust due diligence system to ensure compliance, including assessing and auditing suppliers, and coordinating with external suppliers.
  • Investigate suitable compliance and quality marks/schemes.
  • To complete all necessary documentation required to satisfy regulations and customer requests.
  • To work with all suppliers in relation to audits to ensure all requirements are met.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong expertise and work experience in product compliance and sustainability is essential. • Practical knowledge of working in a similar role and be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the Forestry and Timber related specialist bodies and regulations. • This role will require you to work closely with different members of the wider business to ensure compliance is successfully incorporated into company procedures. • Drawing on your experience, rigorous attention to detail and your ability to effectively communicate, your passion and analytical approach to sustainable forest management will shine through, this will aid you greatly when reviewing different source data to assess potential risks to compliance and the supply chain. • Excellent literacy, numeracy & IT skills. • Able to work accurately whilst meeting deadlines and work as part of a team and on own initiative.
