Job Description

As the Key Credit Controller, you will maintain visibility of customer accounts/management information for all of their customers.

 As the key Credit Controller, you will be trained to provide support in underwriting internal credit limits to a specific level. Processing credit limit appeals will be a key factor as the role develops analysis of company accounts payment profiles and external credit agency data will be used during training to obtain the necessary skills to underwrite internal credit insured limits.

• Chasing debt by telephone and email
• Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements
• Liaising with the sales and accounts teams to resolve outstanding queries
• Daily and month end reporting and account reconciliations to credit insurers
• Investigating and resolving queries relating to none payment of invoices
• Working to strict monthly an annual collection targets
• Processing credit limit appeals
• Managing aged debt
• Customer reminders
• 7-day court action requirements
• Attend management meetings
• Monthly management reporting – excellent Microsoft Word & Intermediate Excel needed

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will need to have previous experience of working in a busy and pressure finance department with excellent exposure to credit control. Excellent Excel skills, a polite but tenacious telephone manner and good systems knowledge is what we are looking for.
