Job Description

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the main function of the Quality Engineer role will be to ensure that our client delivers quality products to their customers. This will be accomplished by determining quality improvement parameters and reducing the overall cost of quality.

As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for quality and process improvement activities across the site to ensure consistent product conformity through robust control and assurance. You will ensure the provision of support for quality pillar activities; conducting internal audits and providing feedback; supporting a schedule of third-party audits; performing analysis of process data, generating regular reporting; supporting QC laboratory inspection activities; providing quality expertise and support to the operations department.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Degree or equivalent qualifications in Engineering, Science or Quality/Continuous Improvement - Previous experience of conducting audits and liaising with third-party certifiers - Experience of Quality and Process improvement, ideally within a demanding manufacturing environment where you were set, and achieved, KPIs in quality, cost and service - Knowledge of WCOM techniques, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement - Awareness and understanding of the principles of production factory control - Previous experience in running improvement teams - Experience of working to and achieving company set standards - The ability to conduct statistical analysis and write clear and concise reports. You will be able to deliver change and drive continuous improvement on your own initiative. You will be a high energy, self-starter and possess well developed people management skills.
