Job Description
  • Providing full administrative support to the Fee Earners and other staff.
  • Maintenance of client files.
  • Assisting with transactions.
  • Opening and closing files.
  • Liaising with clients and third parties about the status of a case.
  • Assisting the Practice Manager with the good functioning of the firm.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • The successful candidate will have some experience or professional interest in residential conveyancing.
  • Our clients know us for our friendly service and problem-solving attitude. The successful candidate will know that people come to lawyers to help them solve complex problems or achieve tricky transactions, and the successful candidate will have the interpersonal and communication skills to clients up-to-date and reassured that their matter is in safe hands.
  • Experience of drafting and proof reading complex professional letters.
  • Previous relevant experience as a legal secretary, office administrator or estate agency support staff.
  • Very IT literate with good proficiency in Microsoft Office suite - we work paperlessly and use cloud-hosted case management and telephone software.
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to explain the complex work our firm does in a digestible way
  • Commercial awareness: understanding how to best use your time
  • A track record of document management and organisational skills
