About The Role


 

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing a full secretarial service including copy typing and word processing for all GPs and Health Professionals as required. This includes the typing of letters, reports, patient referrals, meeting minutes, memorandums, etc in an accurate and quality manner;
  • Handling patient/practice queries regarding hospital appointments and treatments confidentially;
  • Ensuring any requests for information from medical records are appropriately dealt with according to practice policy and that all subsequent charges are invoiced appropriately
  • Performing any reasonable administrative tasks as requested by the Practice Manager.
  • To retrieve medical records and assist the completion of medical/insurance records.
  • All aspects of referrals, including ability to refer via e referrals.
  • Knowledge of system one preferable.

About The Candidate

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong touch typing skills;
  • Administrative experience and good organisation skills;
  • Sound knowledge of medical terminology;
  • Experience in e referrals preferred;
  • Proficiency in the MS Office package as well as excellent IT skills and experience of working with a clinical system;
  • Experience in read-coding and work-flowing clinical documentation;
  • Ability to 'think on yourfeet';
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendlyapproach;
  • Ability to understand the needto maintain confidentiality and data security at all times;
  • Ability tomulti-task and to work accurately under pressure;
  • Ability to work in a team as well as being comfortable working independently.
