Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a bookkeeper who is looking to join a well established Accountancy Practice who as a company, love to learn and love to expand their expertise so they can keep on evolving their offering. As Bookkeeper you will have experience of working within practice as experience of dealing with multiple clients is essential. You will have experience of undertaking bookkeeping work and will have experience in the use of online accounting software including Xero, Quickbooks, and Sage. You will have the ability to manage your work load, prioritise tasks, and ensure high quality work is produced at all times.

Role:

As bookkeeper, your workload will be varied and will involve the completion of client bookkeeping preparing and submitting VAT returns, and providing training and support to clients on bookkeeping software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping for our clients on various systems including Pandle, Xero, Sage, Excel
  • VAT returns, some EC Sales lists and VAT MOSS returns
  • Accounts prep/tax if/when the bookkeeping work is quiet
  • Periodically reviewing client's records in Pandle to ensure they are accurate for the accountants
  • Helping clients switch from their previous bookkeeping system to Pandle
  • Pandle training sessions for new clients who request this service
  • Contribution to Pandle support over email, live chat and telephone

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A minimum of 2 years' experience in practice and preferably hold a qualification such as AAT A good level of competency with technology is especially important, as the role will involve the use of the majority of accounting software products on the market The ability to manage your work load, prioritise tasks, and ensure high quality work is produced at all times Reliable, a good decision maker, productive and highly organised with a common sense approach to your work Excellent attention to detail Strong communication skills across all levels within a business
