Job Description

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Bookkeeper to join a growing and dynamic Solicitors Firm operating from regency offices in Cheltenham with a beautiful outlook, with landscaped parks, shops and amenities nearby.
This will be an interesting and varied role where you will be able to truly add value to the team but also build on your experience within a growing business. This is a newly created role so a full handover period will possible as the person currently handling the workload will be able to pass everything on to you in a careful and structured manner, training you on the software packages being used if your experience is with different software.
The Role of Bookkeeper
The main duties for the Bookkeeper will consist of:

  • Maintaining both purchase and sales ledger
  • Processing and raising invoices
  • Processing payments
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Month-end preparations
  • Gathering due diligence documentation
  • General office administrative tasks
  • Handling telephone enquiries

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A minimum of two years’ experience of working in a similar role to be AAT qualified, equivalent or Qualified By Experience (QBE) good communication skills a careful, conscientious attitude to enjoy working as part of a close-knit, supportive team
