The role of Management Accountant
This role is ideal for an experienced Management Accountant looking to work for an established manufacturing company whose geographical locations give them the unrivalled ability to serve the construction industry. You will need an excellent understanding of the manufacturing and construction industry. This role is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to work on own initiative and demonstrate a logical approach to work with exceptional attention to detail. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, our client is looking for you to take overall control of compiling monthly management accounts for three facilities and report on the performance of contracts against estimate. You will need previous experience of reporting on key indicators and have the ability to manage a team and explain complex financial information in a clear way.

Key Responsibilities

• Monthly management accounts
• Aid managerial planning and commercial decision-making by providing appropriate financial information
• Contract performance reporting against estimates
• Audit and oversee manufactured product and consumable stores’ stock takes
• Ensure that all relevant contract costs are captured
• Build good internal and external relationships
• Offer professional judgement on financial matters and advising on way of improving business performance

Requirements

• CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified
• Relevant Management accounting experience in a comparable organisation
• Proven track record of improving business performance
• A team player and excellent customer service skills
• Experienced Sage user proficient in the following Excel, MS office and Outlook
