Registering new patients prior to treatment at the Centre and check in returning patients on the APAS/Mosaiq system; taking financial details concerning insurance cover or other means of payment.
To review Outpatient lists for each day and check all relevant medical records, imaging and results are ready for each clinic.
To liaise with Consultants and their secretaries, managing the weekly and daily scheduling and bookings, changing lists and chasing results as required.
To check in patients, updating their registration details on the Mosaiq and A-PAS systems. Ensure all patients complete an information sheet and notify the relevant Consultants of any late arrivals or cancellations.
To direct patients promptly to the relevant area, both within the Oncology Clinic and Main Hospital if needed. To deal with general enquiries directly or on the phone.
To make follow up appointments as required on the Mosaiq and A-PAS system and book additional tests as requested by the Consultant.
To inform those concerned of changes in clinic times and cancellation of clinics.
To provide support to the Main Reception, Medical Records Department and general office duties and assistance in other areas should the need arise.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Developed numeracy and literacy (equivalent of O level/GCSE pass). Highly effective communicator – written and verbal. IT literate to a good standard (MS Office). Administrator duties for 1 year or more. Worked in a front line customer service role/reception. Able to work evening shifts. Well-presented/ high standard of personal turnout.
