Job Description

You will be responsible for all aspects of your designated examinations delivery including administration, supporting quality assurance and adhering to examination processes and procedures. You will also be responsible with dealing with results administration, complaints process and appeals. This role involves cyclical work and requires a high level of attention to detail as well as responsibility in managing your own workload, working independently and as a part of a team.

Responsibilities

1. Administration of your examination candidates from application through to results.
2. Administration related to preparation and confirmation of the examination schedule with relevant examination leads/hosts and their teams.
3. Administration related to confirmation and placement of examiners for examination events.
4. Providing effective customer service for candidates, examiners, the host team and any other key stakeholders.
5. Contribution to the development and implementation of IT systems and processes to enhance service delivery.
6. Providing administrative support before, during and after the examinations.
7. Working with Officers and examiners on exams, appeals process and any other process as required.
8. Working on various projects within the team outside of the exam period.
9. Occasionally be required to travel both inside and outside of London, with overnight stays needed as appropriate in addition, it may sometimes be necessary to work outside of the core College hours of 9am to 5pm. Some weekend support may be required from time to time.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Educated to ‘A’ Level or relevant experience in a similar line of work. Relevant administrative experience. Experience of dealing with a high volume of work in a cyclical work pattern e.g. university registry, admissions section, etc. Strong communication skills, both oral and written including excellent report writing skills and the ability to present information in a fluent and persuasive manner to people at a range of levels. Ability to deliver multiple objectives within short time frames to high standards and to meet multiple deadlines. Good knowledge and understanding of project management and capable of taking personal responsibility for own projects. Ability to act to minimize errors and inaccuracies, maintaining high standards of accuracy and correctness in dealing with information and data. Adopting an orderly and precise approach to work paying careful attention to following standard procedures and ways of working. Well-developed experience and knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to show tact, discretion and diplomacy as necessary. Ability to follow established procedures and policy and pay accurate attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
