Job Description
Hours of work 8.00 - 17.00, Friday 8.00 - 13.00.
Rate of Pay £18,000 to £21,000 dependant on experience.
The main purpose of the job would be to maintain the current order book and enhance customer relations. Also, to ensure that the day – to – day issues within the sales office are achieved.
Experience within a production, manufacturing, industrial or engineering background is preferred.
Main Responsibilities
- Order processing via email, telephone and fax
- Liaise with production and other internal departments to confirm new requirements and orders.
- Communicating with customers re. pricing information / order confirmation and status
- Completion of outstanding orders with the production department
- Booking transport when required and to create all the relevant documentation
- Managing and maintaining and updating all customer information
- Obtaining approvals for changes to customer specific information and special order requirements
- Carrying out any further duties that are requested by your manager
Essential Criteria
- Confident telephone manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent IT ( Office and Excel ) & administration skills
- Ability to multi task in a flexible environment with minimum supervision
We are looking for a candidate that has basic knowledge of the order entry process and procedures (Training to be given on the company ERP System ) who has also worked in a sales administration role for at least 2 years.
