Job Description

In your role as accounts assistant you will be responsible for the initial preparation of client accounts, management accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT returns.

  • Duties to include:
  • Preparing client accounts to part or final completion stage
  • Completing bookkeeping, management accounts and VAT returns.
  • Managing client enquiries and passing on potential business leads.
  • Developing strong working relationships with clients.

The successful accounts assistant will be AAT qualified / nearly qualified or QBE and have a basic knowledge of accounting standards and the accounting provisions of the Companies Act.

Strong IT skills including spreadsheets essential as is the ability to manage your own workload.

Previous accountancy practice experience essential.

As travelling to and working at clients’ premises may be involved you must be able to drive / have your own transport.
