Job Description

In this role, you would be the first point of contact for safeguarding enquiries that come through to the IUC (Integrated Urgent Care) service. You would be coordinating with the Safeguarding Leads as well as the clinical network to ensure that any enquiries are reported and referred both efficiently and accurately. This will involve speaking to team members across the business on a regular basis.

You would be also be providing administration support in a variety of other duties including processing of referrals and associated documents. You will also be maintaining referral databases and documents that are accessed by a number of other colleagues, which are used to ensure the right course of action is taken in every case.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You will be an experienced administrator with knowledge of safeguarding and data protection. Accuracy is a key part of this role, and therefore you will have a keen eye for detail and will pride yourself on your organization skills. As this role can be worked remotely or from a number of locations, the safeguarding lead may not always be on site with you. As such, you will have the ability to be self-driven and work independently. You will also be confident in contacting others by phone, email and in person. The role would require building a rapport with staff and managers across the business, and as such you will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Experience within a 111 setting is beneficial, but not essential. The ability to interrogate Adastra platforms is also desirable.
