Job Description

About the role

We are looking for you to work in our teams who craft policies which help shape the future of education. Our policy teams design, develop and advise on appropriate courses of action to help meet key government priorities and ministerial objectives.

Our policies have a far-reaching impact on a wide range of groups – from children and young people, to parents, teachers, social workers, further and higher education and employers both in England and internationally.
 

Responsibilities

About you

There is a requirement of A levels or level 3 equivalent qualification required for this role

You will be working in a team enabling them to quickly produce and implement high quality policy advice and briefing to senior officials.

You will need to demonstrate the following essential criteria as part of your application:

 

  • Demonstrate how you create written guidance or documents
  • Communication efficiently
  • Using information from different sources.
  • Organisational skills
  • Understanding of using Microsoft Packages

About the Apprenticeship

This is an excellent opportunity to gain a Level 4 apprenticeship in policy.
Part of this apprenticeship is to complete a level 2 English and Maths functional skills qualification. If you have already achieved GCSEs in English and Maths at Level 4 (grade C) or above you will not need to complete functional skills.

To be eligible to apply for the apprenticeship you need to meet the following criteria:
 

  • Must have lived in the UK and/or EU for 3 years prior to apprenticeship start date.
  • Not be undertaking another apprenticeship at the same time
  • Please note you will not be eligible to apply for the apprenticeship if you have any degree or degree level qualification
  • A levels or level 3 equivalent qualification required for this role
