Job Description

Main Duties:

  • Undertaking day to day banking activity for both business, Client and VAT accounts
  • Posting financial transactions and advising fee earner.
  • Processing and paying expenses and supplier invoices on Actionstep.
  • Entering Firm withdrawals/receipts into the Petty Cash, VAT or Office Account Finance System Ledgers as directed by the Financial Controller or Manager
  • Payments to Suppliers, Paying Client Invoices, including all associated administration on the Office, VAT and Petty Cash Ledgers
  • Reconciling Office, VAT and Petty Cash accounts on a daily basis.
  • Making payments to business account.
  • Other duties as required.

The ideal person will have;

  • Financial diligence and performance - Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail required to meet strict financial and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk management - Adherence to financial and professional regulations.
  • Delivering a quality service - providing information to internal and external stakeholders in a timely fashion.
  • Business improvements - actively identifying improvements to financial systems and processes.
  • General - opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as gains experience in business.
  • Minimum qualification of GCSE Maths (grade 5 and above) and English (grade 5 and above).
  • AAT accounting part qualified
  • Previous relevant financial or bookkeeping experience required.
  • Professional services background preferred.
  • Salary information available on request but is dependent on experience.
