Job Description
This high growth organisation in Southport are looking for a technically strong Group Financial Accountant to join the organisation in a newly created role due to growth.
Reporting into an impressive Financial Controller, your core duties will include;
- Prepare certain aspects of the Group's quarterly, interim and annual accounts and regulatory returns in line with external legal/regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Build strong relationships with finance team & external accountants to support relevant knowledge, information sharing, consistent good practice and joint commitment to the resolution of accounting and regulatory issues.
- Analyse and interpret financial & business data ensuring accuracy, commerciality and fitness for purpose of the reported numbers.
- Proactively seek opportunities for process improvements to raise standards and improve operational effectiveness.
- Conduct complex, in depth financial analysis and reporting to meet external requirements.
- Contribute to the maintenance of good relations with the external Auditors through the compilation, analysis and presentation of financial information and documentation as required
Key requirements;
- Ideally suited for a technically strong Financial Accountant with experience within the Financial Services sector
- Technical knowledge & understanding of financial and regulatory reporting standards.
- Fully qualified accountant (ideally from an audit background)
- Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting procedures and consistently achieve accurate, on time delivery within a regulated business.
