Job Description

The main duties include provision of general administrative support to two research teams based within the School of Life and Medical Sciences. Duties will include but are not limited to: arranging and minuting meetings, both internally and with external partners and collaborators, supporting the purchase of materials and equipment needed for research activities, organizing events to support dissemination of research and engagement of stakeholders, booking travel, accommodation and catering (when covid restrictions allow), managing online filing and archiving, supporting the preparation of reports, journal articles, and supporting communications and marketing activities.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The post holder will be an effective communicator, well-organized and able to act responsively and using their initiative to meet the needs of the two research teams. They should have a strong understanding of the need to handle data securely, and be able to work to deadlines. The post holder will have appropriate proven administrative experience in a complex and dynamic organization. The post holder will have A-levels or equivalent, or equivalent professional experience.
