This organization is responsible for environmental protection and regulation across the UK and are looking for someone to join a busy team for 6 months initially with chance of extension paying 12-£16 per hour dependent on experience.
Main tasks of the Administrator:
Delivering high quality, efficient and effective personal assistance and strategic support services to the Deputy Director, while managing and being the forward face of their office.
Taking responsibility for the coordination, commissioning and assurance of tasks, actions and commissions from the Deputy Director and other senior leaders to the Directorate, ensuring successful and timely delivery as requested.
Keeping informed, through discussion with Directors and others, of live and forthcoming issues so that you can spot linkages between activities and plan activities in the diary effectively.
Developing and maintaining good relations with Directors and their support teams across the Group; working as a team with other administrative support functions.
Working with other administrative support functions in the Directorate to ensure cover arrangements for diaries and meetings are in place as necessary.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ideal administrative candidate will also have: The ability to plan, organize and work well under pressure - managing conflicting demands effectively. Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the confidence to make independent decisions and remain calm in addressing peers and senior officials in a fast-paced delivery environment. Effective and confident communication skills - an ability to liaise with staff at all levels effectively and communicate with clarity and confidence. Expertise in Microsoft 365 and proficiency in SharePoint RMS.
