In this role you are working within the product analysis sector of the Quality Assurance Department to ensure quality, safety and legality for all Lidl food and near food products. This is a quality-driven multi-tasking role making you a vital member of the Quality Assurance Team!
What you'll do
Processing test reports onto an internal database system
Reviewing test reports to ensure compliance with the testing specification and legal parameters
Liaising with suppliers, laboratories and warehouse personnel to maintain compliance with the sampling programme and investigate non-conformances
Liaising with buyers regarding supplier performance and analysis results
General office duties including answering phones and dealing with queries
Risk assessing items based on safety criteria and product knowledge
Invoice processing
Analysis based project work
Ad hoc QA tasks

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
What you'll need; Food Science/ Science based degree desired. Food Industry experience preferable (Industry placements will be considered). Passionate about food safety and quality. Strong organizational and time management skills. Comprehensive Excel skills and experience of working with other Microsoft Office programmes. Highly focused and accurate with an uncompromising eye for detail. A motivated and proactive team player, with a can-do attitude, who is also capable of working independently. Excellent written/verbal communication skills and confidence in partnering with stakeholders. Risk based approach to technical issues.
