Job Description

This role would suit an individual who is excited by success, and who can grow with this dynamic business, assist with controls and systems and work at a fast pace.

The Finance Manager is a key member of the Senior Management Team responsible for the day to day accounting and financial management of the business.

You will also be responsible for budgeting, reporting on the financial performance to management and the shareholders.

The role requires an excellent level of Accounting and IT knowledge and experience.

Continuously improving the efficiency of the operations of the Finance Department and developing systems to monitor the effectiveness of the Finance Department.

Promoting an innovative and creative approach to the delivery of services.

Reporting detailed information to the Senior Management Team and Board of Management.

  • Responsible for the preparation and delivery of timely and accurate management accounts, including income and expenditure statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports.
  • Manage a small team to ensure month end deliverables and general business deliverables are met.
  • Complete month end tasks including:
    • Accounting for rent reviews, dilapidations provision, discount charge, dilapidations utilisation, professional fees and onerous lease discount.
    • Journals and Reconciliation on specific balances.
  • Ensure appropriate controls, processes and procedures are in place to meet statutory requirements, compliant with financial policies and procedures.
  • Analyse business operating results against budgets and explain variances in management accounts and any performance issues.
  • Report key financial and non-financial data on request and be responsible for the delivery of timely and accurate monthly financial KPI’s.
  • Provide timely and accurate payroll records and reports.
  • Provide information for regulatory and statutory returns.
  • Ensure legal compliance and reporting to Companies House and HMRC
  • Responsible for VAT and Corporation Tax, ensuring payment dates and deadlines are met.
  • Assisting with the strategic financial planning of the business by identifying, analysing and investigating potential operational improvements.
