In this role, you would be creating accurate rotas to ensure that all areas of the service are covered by clinicians and operational staff alike. You would be using shift pattern information, but would also be calling bank and locum staff to arrange shifts. You would be finalizing rotas on a long term basis as well as arranging immediate cover when required, e.g. in the event of sickness.
As well as current staff rotas, you would also be in contact with new staff on a regular basis. This would include arranging training and inductions and that they have supplied any outstanding paperwork before commencing their first shift. You would also be involved in the recruitment process, actioning relevant emails and issuing name badges. You will also be in contact with suppliers and processing invoices as necessary.
Whilst speaking to staff and arranging shifts, you would also be reporting any queries and problems that arise, assisting in investigations where necessary. This may include any expected shortages on the rotas, or noting any trends in staff’s ability to cover shifts such as late arrivals or non-attendance.
The majority of your role would be centered on the rotas, but you would be also be providing administration support for the Rota Manager in a variety of other duties including filing and preparing documents. You will also play a part in Overall, you would be a key member of the team.
