Job Description
The raising of sales invoice for all companies, including those clients with alternative invoicing instructions
Monitor and report time period between transport delivery and client invoicing
Liaise with the Logistics Department and clients on a regular basis to ensure invoicing is carried out efficiently and any issues delaying invoicing are resolved promptly
Identify and report matters requiring intervention or attention with particular reference to incomplete system information delaying the invoicing process
Dealing with client queries
Ensure debtors settle accounts in accordance with terms of business commensurate with the authorized standards of developing company financial policy
Priorities client accounts for pursuit of debt and ensure the client has all the relevant information to pay invoices on time
Issue prompt and accurate requests to clients in relation to non-payment of their accounts
Produce aged debtor reports and analysis using Sage/Excel ensuring all client queries are resolved promptly and prescribed credit limits are complied with
Maintain a disciplined approach to recovery of outstanding monies, whilst maintaining beneficial, professional relationships with UK and overseas clients
Allocate payments to accounts in line with required timescale
Other duties as requested by the CFO/Manager to ensure effectiveness within the organization
The role is working Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5.30 pm with a 1 hour break for lunch. We would ideally be seeking a German speaker for this role but it isn't essential.
