The Postgraduate Medical Education Department at East Surrey Hospital is looking to recruit on a permanent contract, an education reception administrator.
The education reception administrator will often be the first staff member to meet and greet all visitors to the centre and will be required to provide the administrative support that accompanies that. We therefore are looking for someone smartly presented, with great customer service skills and a desire to help all our centre visitors.
The post holder will work in a busy environment with frequent interruptions by telephone, visitors and will work within set procedures. Guidance and advice is readily available from senior team members.
The post holder will need to prioritise the many demands of this role and work to tight timescales, whilst maintaining the required standards.
The key part of the role is to maximise room usage and providing front of house services for meetings, training days and conferences that are held in the PGEC. This includes setting up rooms and equipment as required.
The post holder will also provide administrative support for medical education, predominately to the deputy medical education manager and the strategic medical education manager, but this could include the wider medical education team at busy times.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who possess excellent communication and persuasion skills at all levels, organisation skills and initiative to manage a varying workload across the year.
You will have strong communication skills verbally and written. You will be able to liaise and communicate with senior personnel. You will be able to manage and organise a busy workload with support, but have the initiative to work independently on work, whilst assisting colleagues as needed in a busy medical education working environment.
We are looking for someone with previous front facing customer service experience.
