This is a newly created role, due to business growth, where the successful candidate will be required to get stuck in and take on the sole responsibility for Accounts Receivable process, covering all aspects from invoicing, new account set up and credit checking, to chasing payments and allocating cash right through to process and system implementation!
Over time, the successful candidate will also be required to support and supervise new members of the Credit Control function as they look to expand the team further. Therefore, previous experience of staff management is highly desirable.
Duties of the Credit Control Manager will include (but are not limited to):
*Processing, maintaining and management of AR ledger.
*Reporting forecast receipts for inclusion in both short term and long term cashflow forecasts.
*Processing of customer bank transactions, and reconciliation to individual invoices.
*Maintaining credit limits, involving regular credit checking of customers.
*Setting up new customers, including working with other departments to ensure full information is on file, and risks for the company are managed from working with a new organisation.
*Identifying potential debt issues to the Financial Controller and working with other departments to manage the risk with the aim of receiving full payment.
*Working with the Financial Controller to provide accurate information for their needs.
*Developing debtor controls and ensuring compliance therewith.
*Working to minimise overdue and debtor days.
*Aged debtor and debtor performance reporting.
*Implementing new processes and procedures.
*Implementing a brand new accounts system.
