Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen, for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Band 3 Administration Assistant to join our Team.
The person is responsible for booking appointments for all sub-specialties within the Ophthalmology service and are the first point of contact for our patients and a broad range of staff across the Trust regarding appointments and admissions.
The post holder will work in an extremely busy department providing administration support to the team, with a key focus on Eye Casualty.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful candidate will have experience of working with computerized data systems, be able to work calmly under pressure, have a polite, courteous manner, excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills, with a proven track record of using their initiative and prioritizing workload in order to meet deadlines. Previous administration experience is not essential, but a positive approach to learning the role is essential.
