Job Description

Overview:
Change Grow Live Waltham Forest is a free and confidential drug and alcohol service for adults in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. We provide a range of recovery focused interventions designed to meet the needs of those experiencing substance misuse and or alcohol issues. At the service we provide a structured day programme, substitute prescribing, needle exchange, counselling, housing support, benefits and finance advice, education advice, training and access to employment. We work with a number of other services and providers to provide the best possible service to our clients.

Responsibilities:
This is an exciting opportunity to become the first point of contact for service users and visitors accessing our service. It will put you in a key position to learn about drug and alcohol services, interact with the local community and develop your administrative skills. You will be key to providing a smooth and welcoming first impression of the service, working as part of a friendly team.

As the Reception Meet & Greet / Administrator volunteer, you will support our service by providing a front of house service. This will involve monitoring access to the building and ensuring entry and reception protocols are followed. As Volunteer Administrator / Receptionist you will also be asked to assist with the day to day office duties such as answering the phone, opening and distributing mail, filing, photocopying, record keeping etc, to participate in team meetings and taking of minutes.
