Responsible for reconciliation and analysis of key bank accounts

Audit and Bank Relationship Manager contact and coordinator
Creation, posting and approval of key banking journals
Day-to-day cash management and monthly cash forecasting
Banking month end; work with other units/teams to ensure that all necessary adjustments & journals are processed before finance system closedown
Escalation point for banking queries
Open and close bank accounts, maintenance of banking services and maintenance of bank signatories
Responsible for production of monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
Monitoring transactional integrity; detect and prevent payment and invoice errors
Input and approve payments; Cheques, Bankline and BACS
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Have a formal accountancy or banking qualification or be committed to working towards one with sponsorship Proven effective communication and relationship management skills in the workplace Highly organised self-starter who works confidently with financial data and can effectively monitor outputs against plans Basic MS Excel e.g. SUM; SORT; data filters, fixed references and basic graphs A basic understanding of how the banking function operates and how it aligns to the AR and AP functions Intermediate MS Excel e.g. VLOOKUP; Pivot Tables; text functions Practical understanding of double entry book-keeping and journal entry How day-to-day cash management impacts on an organisation and supports strategic objectives An appreciation of risk and controls and how they contribute in the preparation of financial accounts Experience in producing Financial Analysis and Reporting e.g. KPI's relating to the banking function Experience of being accountable for a key finance task or other similar task that demonstrates sound transactional banking experience Able to provide practical examples of experience in improving processes and what impact they had
