About The Role:
As the key "Go To" Linux specialist you will have the proven experience and qualification within the semiconductor industry to help develop and lead the internal Linux integration, innovation and support within the group. Working within a fast paced and demanding environment you will ensure the stakeholders are able to operate within a Linux environment whilst also coaching and supporting your line manager and colleagues.
The security and integrity of the system and network across the group is paramount, as such the role will be responsible for the design and implementation of any and all Linux security protocols.
The role will operate across the group and may require travel and out of hours working to ensure the business is fully supported, the position will also require the self-development and continued engagement with personnel at all levels, whilst ensuring we maintain core values.

Responsibilities;
· Lead the planning design and implementation of the Linux infrastructure.
· Install and support the Linux packages as required for the Engineering needs.
· Create and maintain Python Scripts within the Linux Environment for the automation and administration of tasks and health monitoring.
· Provide Linux Remote Desktop Applications support.
· Develop, embed, support and review all Linux protocols and practices.
· Support and deliver the network needs
· Support and deliver the Microsoft needs.
· Support and review with the security lead all internal and exporting security arrangements, reporting and actioning any needs identified.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Degree related qualification. · Experience within a semiconductor Linux environment. · Linux Professional Qualification. · Apache/HTTP server management · Linux remote desktop implementation and support. · Implementing and maintenance Centos/Redhat Linux within and a semiconductor environment. · Implementing and managing within a Linux compute environment. · Self-starter and driven, with the ability to take ownership.
