Job Description

The role requires attention to detail and the ability to plan and priorities workloads in a busy environment. A friendly and polite manner when dealing with patient queries is essential.
Key liaison between the Trust and outsourced dictation services, or voice recognition services, for the majority of clinical administration.
Provide comprehensive administrative, clerical and audio typing support to consultants and their teams.
Work in a team based secretarial service providing support for each other and ensuring continuity of the service.
Act as a key point of liaison between patients, GPs, other staff and outside agencies.
The system allows for the deployment of:

  • Strategic Initiatives which are long term projects and focus led and driven by our executive.
  • Trust Priority Improvement Projects which are short term projects allocated to a range of project teams made up from our staff groups focusing on impacting our True North metrics.
    and breakthrough objectives 
  • Ward Based OMS which delivers daily management and continuous improvement on the frontline.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ideally, you will have relevant experience of NHS systems but on-the-job training will be provided. You must possess excellent time management and organizational skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Manage and monitor patients through their treatment pathway ensuring compliance to RTT, cancer pathways and local waiting time standards.
