Being a Home Care Companion is not just another job; it’s a vocation. That you don’t just want a job, but you want to part of our family providing care like you would expect your own family to receive, with dignity and respect.

Most clients have been significantly affected by the pandemic, have lost their motivation to get up in the morning, have a bath/shower, or even get dressed for the day ahead. We are now coming out of the other end of the pandemic, and things are slowly starting to get back to normal. Part of your role will be to encourage our clients to socialise again in the community and enjoy the activities they enjoy.

Our clients will need help with a variety of daily tasks that may include:

• Helping a client to get out of bed in the morning or into bed in the evening.
• Support our clients in the bathroom, toileting, showering/bathing.
• Help with the preparation of meals and snacks.
• Housework, make a bed, dusting, laundry, ironing, wash the dishes, or a little gardening.
• Preparing and reminding our clients to take their medication.
• Being a reliable Companion, someone who makes them feel wanted and cared about.
