Your key duties will include but are not limited to leading and managing a high performing Payroll department within strict time frames, liaising and managing the relationship with the payroll software provider, along with managing the payroll software providers service level delivery and contract adherence. You will check and approve pay slips and payroll reports, ensuring that pay runs and BACS payments are completed in line with payroll schedule, along with managing all payroll enquiries to satisfactory resolution. You will liaise with HMRC, pension providers and other third parties, partner with internal functions such as HR, Finance Reporting and Tax, along with improving payroll processes and systems. You will manage and increase the efficiency of the payroll team through motivation, coaching and development, ensure all policies/procedures are fit for purpose, and maintain an updated knowledge of current and new legalisation impacting payroll. You will take a lead of payroll projects such as payroll software updates and transitions of payrolls from other and new UK entities.
