They currently have an exciting opportunity for a technically strong Financial Accounting Manager to ensure that financial and management reporting is performed accurately and to prescribed timescales and quality standards. It is a varied role with duties to include: -
*Manage the general ledger team of 13 people (including 1 to 1s, appraisals and any training and development needs)
*Production of month-end management accounts
*Conduct preparation, reviews and sign-off of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
*Provide financial guidance to support and challenge the business
*Statutory accounts production and returns
*Management of tax provisions
*Set and monitor team objectives
*Drive continuous improvement, develop best practice of operational procedures
*Prepare commentary on key monthly variances for the financial statements
*Liaison with external auditors
*Contribute to ad-hoc projects as necessary
