Job Description

Your new role

  • Delivery of accurate and timely management accounts.
  • Assist with Preparation of budgets and budget reviews.
  • Assist with Year-End Audit and posting of any audit adjustments.
  • Working closely with Finance Manager in identifying cost savings. As well as providing analytical information.
  • Provide day to day support to the Finance manager to deliver commercial and strategic direction.
  • Any other reasonable duties as required by Finance manager.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts - Trial balance, P&L, Balance Sheet for review with Finance manager.
  • Assist the Finance Manager with preparation of Monthly Board Pack and management information.
  • Reconciliation of all Balance sheet control accounts including sterling and foreign bank accounts, HP, payroll, loan accounts.
  • Post monthly stock and cost of sales journals, agreeing back to detailed stock reports and ensuring financial statements are within expended levels following appropriate investigation.
  • Maintain fixed asset register.
  • Post Monthly Accruals and Prepayments
  • Assist with preparation of financial accounts and assist with audit preparation.
  • Manage and control VAT and Intrastat submissions.
  • Submit National Statistic returns.
  • Assist with Management of the company fleet of vehicles.
  • Maintain up to date procedures within the Finance function.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Possesses or is studying towards a professional accountancy qualification - e.g. ACCA or CIMA. • The jobholder must have experience of working in a FMCG manufacturing environment. • A thorough knowledge of management and finance with the ability to create and analyse financial reports and budgets. • Detailed knowledge and practical experience of Sage 50 Accounts Professional • Excellent ERP system experience including strong excel skills, and a working knowledge of Sage 50 Payroll. • Ability to work within a team or work independently if required. • Team player who would enjoy a flexible, fast moving, high growth organisation and must work to tight deadlines • Professional and confident with a can do attitude who is well organised. • Copes well with changing and evolving processes (integration) • Able to deliver under pressure. • Confident and engaging with a proven record of communicating to both financial and non-financial staff. • Ability to liaise with all levels of the business. • A full driving licence is required.
