Job Description

This role is based in our Science & Innovation team at The Fellows Research Centre (FRC), Halifax. It's a multi-million-pound, state-of-the-art research & product development facility.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for the efficient functioning of the GAMA FRC Halifax scientific office through a range of administrative, financial and managerial tasks.
  • Provides essential Admin support for FRC office, line management for one Admin direct report and key to embedding GAMA values and culture
  • Diary management for Science and Innovation Director
  • Ensure the smooth running of the FRC office on a day-to-day basis through the effective planning and management of daily operations including meeting support and stationery/stock ordering.
  • Coordinating FRC office activities and operations to improve efficiency and ensure compliance to company policies.
  • Identify and help execute opportunities to support GAMA events and initiatives including Team events and charitable work and ad hoc projects as identified by S&I Team.
  • Manage financial data input for office spend for S&I Team, invoicing, raising PO's and receipting of goods.
  • Responsible for researching, arranging and coordinating travel, transportation and accommodation for S&I Director and S&I Team according to GAMAs expense policy.
  • Line management responsibility for one office administrator, to divide responsibilities to ensure performance as per GAMAs company objectives and Inspire programme.
  • Work closely with FRC Facilities Manager to ensure FRC facility and team activities run smoothly

What will you need?

  • Proven experience as an office manager and executive assistant in a similar sector
  • Previous experience of working within an office-based role.
  • Experience within a Health and Safety role, as applied to office environment
  • Excellent knowledge of office management procedures
