Job Description

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with excellent attention to detail to support the clinical staff with administration tasks within the Imaging Department. Experience in a similar role within a healthcare setting is advantageous.

The position is full-time working on a rotational shift basis therefore applicants will need to be flexible with their working hours to cover the department opening times of 8am-8pm 6 days a week.

Role Responsibilities include:

  • To provide a comprehensive administration service to the Imaging and Cardiology Departments.
  • Be responsible for the management and day-to-day co-ordination of radiology patient appointments.
  • Liaise with internal and external medical professionals and clerical staff, to ensure clinic sessions are used as effectively as possible.
  • Advise patients clearly on the preparations needed for their appointments.
  • Ensure the patient experience and well-being remains at the heart of the business.
  • Ensuring all patients and staff adhere to safety protocols implemented by the hospital.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Candidates must: Be educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent). Have good verbal and written communication skills. Have the ability to priorities workload, remain calm under pressure and ensure excellent customer service at all times. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, have the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Have strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work proactively, on your own initiative with minimal supervision. Experience working in a similar role within the healthcare sector is desirable.
