Job Description

Duties and responsibilities

  • Day to day management and development of the finance team
  • Ensure tight financial control and compliance
  • Review and develop finance and accounting processes
  • Production of monthly management accounts, comprising Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, Cashflow and associated support schedules
  • Process quarterly VAT return
  • Supervise payment runs, accounts payable and salaries
  • Liaise with external auditors
  • Supervise credit control and receivables
  • Compile payroll reports
  • Reconciliation of bank and loan accounts
  • Provide concise and insightful management information to support decision making
  • Prepare company plans, budgets, and forecasts
  • Track fixed asset expenditure and maintain company asset register

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Job Specifications • Proven experience as Financial Controller or in a similar role • Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification • Have experience of working within a fast-paced manufacturing business • Strong analytical and numeracy skills • Strong leadership skills • Advanced Excel modelling skills
