Job Description

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Records Reader/Medical Secretary to work in Surrey in Leatherhead, the role is working within the NHS on a temporary basis.

Hours/Shift Pattern
Monday to Friday 9-5

System Knowledge

Working Conditions
At the moment the team is working from home due to C19

Responsibilities
The post holders will be a member of the Records Management Team, reporting the Records Manger and will work collaboratively with the Records Management Team to help deliver our requests by assisting with the reading and redacting process.

Understanding the roles of the record management administrators and the necessary application of legal and clinical issues surround our requests and applying them to vetting the notes appropriately on a case by case basis.

Self-initiated reading is required and the experience of patient record system navigation and documentation.

Post holder will need good understanding of the GDPR, NHS guidelines and DPA 2018 in relation to records management in order to apply this knowledge to the vetting process.

Some clinical and administration knowledge around mental health services and people who use our services would also be beneficial to support the records reading role.

Liaise with the records managers where appropriate in order to seek guidance and continuity and to support the records management team with the safe delivery of each persons records by working closely with the records management administrators.

Hourly Rate
£18.00Ltd an hour (Paid via an umbrella company)
