Job Description

Duties include:

  • Prepare allocated monthly management accounts
  • Ensure the management accounts are compliant
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or misallocated costs
  • Monitor and report on cashflow
  • Work with the finance team to agree inter-company reconciliations
  • Liaise with the team on any issues/discrepancies with the monthly management accounts or reconciliations and work with the team to resolve any queries and agree how to close.
  • Prepare monthly reports and commentary
  • Prepare ad hoc reports including variance analysis, as and when requested
  • Prepare/assist in the preparation of forecasts
  • Assist in audit queries and information for preparation of statutory accounts
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Meet departmental and statutory deadlines, seeking support if there are any concerns in achieving this.
  • Maintain accurate departmental and statutory controls and processes
  • Partner other members of the team to prepare specific reports or complete project work
  • Support junior members of the team as and when required
  • Maintain up to date knowledge
  • Other tasks as and when required to support the finance team.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • ACCA or CIMA finalist/qualified essential or the ability to demonstrate relevant experience
  • Able to demonstrate relevant experience in a Management Accountant role
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Advanced Excel skills essential
  • Experience using Microsoft Navision an advantage
  • Strong communication skills with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Ability to deliver accurate and timely information
  • Ability to meet multiple tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Exceptional attention to details
  • Self-motivated and results focused.

Salary up to £40k plus a generous benefits package
