Junior Accountant / Finance Assistant

A start up Technology Company that are in early stages of growth are looking for an ambitious Finance Assistant / Junior Accountant to join the team. They are recruiting the first person within the Finance team so you will really be able to make your stamp and grow with the company.

This tech company have been picked by Apple as one of their ten best apps for 2016! The role will involve all aspects of finance within a commercial business; so this would be a perfect opportunity for someone who wants to gain valuable and practical finance and accounts experience.

This would include doing everything from managing the day to day invoices and payments to producing, updating and improving management accountants and forecasts. There will also be an opportunity to learn about business analytics and produce KPIs for the team.

Key responsibilities for the Junior Accountant / Finance Assistant:

• Learning and producing month end management accounts
• Updating / managing forecasts
• Managing day to day running of bank accounts and journals
• Keeping current system up to date
• Producing self - billing invoices and reports for partners
• Working with external accountants in preparation of VAT returns and annual returns

Candidates that are interested must be

• Junior Accountant / Finance Assistant - with one or two years of finance experience
• AAT qualified or AAT / ACCA / CIMA part qualified
• Excellent academic record
• Good with numbers!
• Strong user of Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
• Able to pick up and learn new systems quickly
• Ability to work under pressure
• Xero experience or a similar accounting software
• Passionate about learning and self-growth
