The successful candidate will have worked in a similar position ideally within the Food Manufacturing or the FMCG sectors. They will have excellent analytical skills, has good stakeholder management abilities, can work at Pace and has the drive and enthusiasm to want to develop themselves and Finance reporting at the factory.

As part of the Finance team at the Batley bakery, you will be responsible for the weekly reporting for Factory Variances, reconciliation of reports and spreadsheets to SAP. You will identify and action process improvements to streamline and standardise the process. While working with Operational Teams at site to ensure understanding of and consistency of reporting.

You will also manage the monthly reporting including reporting on the Monthly Actuals for Bakery Variances and Bakery Overheads ensuring accurate allocation for all aspects of reporting. Balance sheet reconciliations preparation and month end file ensuring group governance guidelines followed for sign off by Factory Business Partner.

As the Management Accountant you will draft the Factory Overheads Budget and assist the Factory Business Partner in the preparation of the variances Budget and update of the standard costs. Other responsibilities include monitoring and tracking Fox’s Blocked, Parked and GRIR reporting, supporting Tax compliance, identifying and implementing process improvements and involvement in Biscuits Finance Projects

• Qualified Accountant/Finalist or relevant experience
• Ideally experienced within Food Manufacturing, FMCG or Manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of financial control.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to work with others
• Good computer skills and financial systems (ideally SAP, SAP BI,  Excel etc)
• Good Business Partnering skills
• Strong business acumen with ability to provide sound financial advice
• Works effectively with peer group and superiors, managing expectations
• Highly numeric and demonstrates strong analytical skills and is able to balance the need for analysis and rigour with speed of action when solving problems
• Ability to work under pressure and have self motivated approach
