Job Description

The purpose of the post is to provide administrative support to both of Mental Health Teams and to assist in the smooth running of the service. Previous experience within a Community Mental Health team would be desirable.
The varied role of Administrator will include:

  • Booking and supporting clinic appointments.
  • Having contact with patients, careers, relatives and other external stakeholders.
  • Typing letters and reports via BigHand (audio) and/or copy typing.
  • Using the patient record system RiO (training provided).
  • Taking phone calls and managing the admin mailbox, covering reception
  • Minting meetings.
  • Ordering of stationery and other items as required via SBS (training provided).
  • It is important that the successful applicant’s exhibits empathy and compassion, has a professional and flexible attitude, likes being part of a team, has initiative, good communication and interpersonal skills, is able to priorities workloads and can work to agreed timescales.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
We are looking for someone who has excellent organizational and administrative skills. The post holder will be educated to ‘C‘Grade or above GCSE in Math and English or equivalent and NVQ Level 3/RSA3 or equivalent. Prior to interview you will be required to undertake a literacy and typing test.
